#1 Golden Pearl Silk/Mylar Full Length Cheongsam Dress with Golden Pearl Silk Lining. (808101-287)
The inspiration for Spring 2008 comes from a photograph of Malan Breton’s ancestors on holiday in French colonial Indochina. References to Chinese and South East Asian traditional dress begin this season’s vocabulary! Malan takes this vision to Hollywood, London, and Paris before arriving in New York in 2008. His luxe fabrics are married with architectural shapes and couture finishes to create a wide array of show-stopping looks. A collection designed to suit his customers’ multi-venued wardrobe needs. Tap Shorts and Trousers, Sun Dresses and Ball Gowns are all a part of this glamorous adventure.
A wide array of silks and silk blends drape into the eco-friendly garments of the season. Double layered fabrics create structure, sensuality, and luxury in a single garment. Silk linings and lace facings finish the garments in couture refinement.
Golden Pearl, Ginger, Raw Sugar, Azure, Cloud, Conch, Salt Crystal, Red Lacquer and Onyx are the colors of the season. Cheongsams and Pagodas meet tiered and floating layers of supple architecture to arrive at a worldly collection sumptuously revealing Malan Breton’s vision for Spring 2008.

Howdy. I'm no one in particular that came across your blog as I had been rewatching Project Runway and was struck, again at how sad it was that we didn't get to see more of your work on the show. You were let go much too early. I am really glad to see that you have continued in fashion. I'm an illustrator, not a fashion anyone, but I really love some of your work and only wish you the best. You were one of my favorite people from season 3. Good luck, and thanks for posting.
